Today is the day for planning for the future.
Yesterday is for looking back and realizing your
mistakes.
Tomorrow is for the wishing times.
Remember, everyday God takes you by the hand
and says,
"No matter how difficult the path you tread ..
I will never leave your side."
~Rion~
"The most beautiful thing we can experience is
the mysterious.
It is the source of all true art and all science.
He to whom this emotion is a stranger,
who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt
in awe,
is as good as dead as his eyes are closed.
~ Albert Einstein ~
“When your life seems out of control, stop ...
take time to heal.
Life is not so much about living; it’s making
the journey count.”
~ Leon Rowell ~
"Anything that can make the spirit sing and the body tremble
is more than just a "Collection of Sound". Enjoy the music. :)""Many a great league of awesome treasures
can be found with but a fraction of introspection."
~ Hanno Omnido ~
"Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore, be at peace with God, whatever you conceive him to be.And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul. With all it's sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy."
~ Max Ehmann, 1927 ~
"You cannot teach a man anything, you can only
help him find it within himself"
~ Gailileo ~
There was a man who thought he was the authority on every subject that came up. Whether it was asked for or not, the man offered his opinion. No one else could finish a thought or a sentence without him butting in to present his thoughts. Some people avoided him, but he didn't care. He always told himself they were closed minded, and weren't worth his concern. He felt that his opinions were as good as gold, and so he proclaimed them proudly. What he perceived to great wisdom caused others to feel pity and embarrassment for him.
There are few things worse than a know-it-all. No one likes to have knowledge lorded over them. The person who talks the loudest and longest generally has the least to say. It is much better to watch carefully our words, and learn to use them well and sparingly. We all have important things to say, and we all have a right to be heard .. but we should be as interested in what others have to share as we are committed to our own thoughts.PRAYER THOUGHT: Make my words a blessing rather than a burden, Father. Grace my tongue with the ability to speak wisely and concisely, never being a bore, and help me to be ever mindful of the things other people might wish to share.
Every job is a self portrait of the person who
did it ...
autograph your work with excellence.”
~ Unknown ~
"To find the elusive peace that you seek ...
do not forget to look deep within yourself."
~ MilliniumSeeker ~
“Most of us spend alot of time dreaming of the
future ...
never realizing a little
arrives
each day.”
~ Unknown ~
"The key to peace in your life is to be
tolerant of all others.
We can learn from each other, but when you have
no tolerance,
you lose the ability to learn and advance as
a human being.
If we are open to others beliefs, we make our
own beliefs stronger.
If we are closed to what other knowledge is
available,
then we are no better than hypocrits with closed
minds."
~ Rion ~
“It can be done. It should be done.
It shall be done ... tomorrow.
Today I’m taking time for me.”
~ Rion ~
"Outside of a dog, a book is probably man's
best
friend,
and inside of a dog it's too dark to read."
~ Groucho Marx ~
My Motto:
"Tell me, I forget.
Show me, I remember.
Involve me, I understand."
Ancient Chinese Proverb
.
Healing
We must play by the rules life has dealt
us,
no matter how it makes us feel,
for sometimes the things that we feel are
the
worst
are the stepping stones that help us heal.
Hypnosis
My mind has gone elsewhere, oblivious to
the
world.
A never caring feeling that takes over
the soul,
and wipes the mind of all cares, allowing
a healing
to take place,
a healing allowing me to share in the
world as
a whole.
Life ...
is a tapestry made up of the threads of
peoples'
lives,
interwoven like expensive silks, each one
precious
in its own right.
Thou shall not worry, for worry is the most unproductive of all human activities.
Thou shall not be fearful, for most of the things we fear never come to pass.
Thou shall not cross bridges before you come to them, for no one yet has succeeded in accomplishing this.
Thou shall face each problem as it comes. You can only handle one at a time anyway.
Thou shall not take problems to bed with you, for they make very poor bedfellows.
Thou shall not borrow other people's problems. They can better care for them than you can.
Thou shall not try to relive yesterday for good or ill, it is forever gone. Concentrate on what is happening in your life and be happy now!
Thou shall be a good listener, for only when you listen do you hear different ideas from your own. It is hard to learn something new when you are talking, and some people do know more than you do.
Thou shall not become "bogged down" by frustration, for 90% of it is rooted in self-pity and will only interfere with positive action.
Thou shall count thy blessings, never overlooking the small ones, for a lot of small blessings add up to a big one.
